Balkan postcards 2

Here’s who greeted us this morning ….

There are plenty more birds around, from waxwings, cuckoos, reed warblers, black woodpeckers and dozens more. But they’re too camera-shy to get in on the postcard.

And we ended the day spotting a wild boar family: boar, sow, and three little ones. They were camera shy too.

  5. Lovely… and the peacock posed for you! WOW. I find that my wildlife subjects aren’t patient with me when I want to catch them in natural pose. Keep enjoying and sharing.

  8. Now there’s a bird who knows how to have it all and yet be understated though still imperious with it! Great capture especially the bird green with the tree green repeat.

  15. The peacock, the backdrop, the beautiful tones in the stone walls…you couldn’t have set this up better if you’d tried. An absolute beauty!
