Black and white postcards from not-far-away

It’s lockdown again. Best not travel too far for our day out: we’ll whizz round North Yorkshire, and send a few postcards, old style, in black and white.

Annoyingly, I don’t seem able to label these photos, but there are clues in the tags. But – they’re all in North Yorkshire…

…except for one: here are godwits at Slimbridge:

  1. Some great contrasts in this selection Margaret, the reflection in the water is fabulous and the godwits are beautifully captured. Thank you for the postcards from North Yorkshire 😁

  2. I liked the zig zag on the water best. I still send the occasional postcard, usually when I have visited an art gallery sending to a friend who lives too far away to go themselves.

  3. Love the ziggyzaggy water and the posts, but the Slimbridge shot is very classy. I was there once. Must be about 25 years ago…. another life 🙂 🙂 You still have lovely Studley.

      1. Busy arranging where and when we can walk this week 🙂 🙂 Was going to be beach this morning and Rafa this afternoon. Morning will soon be gone at this rate. I’d better do some Portuguese.

  4. Lovely set and the teasels are a gift for black and white aren’t they? Actually, I think they are one plant form that easily looks as good if not better in monochrome.
