I just came upon this picture that I took one Christmas Eve. Even though it’s from mid-winter, it seems to be such a positive image, full of promise for the day ahead, that I thought I’d post it while we’re still largely confined in Lockdown.

Oh this is glorious. Each panel looks like it’s a separate picture!

Do you need spellcheck or did you misspell on purpose? I liked the photograph though.

Oh, thanks so much Susan. Silly me. It’s corrected now.

Margaret -I love the colours, I love the textures and I love the message. So appropriate for whatever circumstance we’re in. Thank you.

This is beautiful! Appropriate for any season of course, uplifting and filled with hope. But it made me think of an advent calendar – each unique pane a little door to open.

What a good idea. Maybe I’ll have to think about that …

This is really exquisite. And another lovely sash window?

Ha. It probably no longer functions.

I really enjoyed the warm-looking or at least cheerful reflections in the window as a cold front arrives here and the temperatures are dropping fast!

I find it amazing the number of things and places that are catching my eye as I look around in my more localized “wander” zone. It makes me look more closely at where do I really live?…even after 38 years! I love your picture.

I know. It’s astonishing what I’ve discovered locally too.

What a lovely photo – another commenter notes each pane had a unique reflection. How interesting. I think when we look closely it something it reveals things we miss – in passing it’s a window, but a closer inspection reveals something different. Our lockdown here is easing and it’s the last day of school and I got to say goodbye via a computer screen. Next year is still up in the air…. so many unknowns. Gotta look closer. Have a wonderful day.

Good luck as your term ends. It’s all a bit messy for students and teachers here – everywhere’s different. But I hope you contrive to enjoy your vacation.

This is a wonderful find, Margaret! I like your idea of it being a symbol of better things to come. A rosy future, perhaps?
A very late comment, for which I apologise. It feels like winter this evening, with a strong easterly wind.

Nothing to apologise for! My blog ain’t going anywhere, and is definitely not your Homework. No wind here now.

No wind now, but I see we will be getting some more this weekend!

A wonderful photograph, each pane different making it suggest a mosaic picture or even a stained glass window from a church.

I was so glad I’d noticed it – the photo virtually took itself.
