Sea Creatures?

You want sea creatures for this photo challenge?  I live nowhere near the sea, so you won’t get a single live specimen here.

I’m British, so we’d better start with Fish and Chips.

Fish and chips and mushy peas and tartare sauce.

For the rest, I’ll take you to museums…

To Leeds City Market …

Outside the fish market, Leeds.

To the fish market in Cádiz  …

To Jagalchi fish market in Busan, South Korea.

  1. In answer to your question about a large quantity of small fish, yes I have. Any more but less variety in huge sacks in Malaysia. I was very impressed by the brown one at the museum and then I realised it wasn’t bread!

  2. Mouthwatering selection of fish plenty to please the eye and nothing to offend the nose!!! Mind you it all looks so fresh can’t imagine any of it was particularly smelly.

  3. An interesting collection of shots. I confess I don’t eat fish so the market ones are a bit eeuw from my pov and I am not sure about the mushy peas either but then I have never had the opportunity to try them 🙂

    1. Mushy peas? If you weren’t brought up on them, don’t bother. Especially as I don’t think they’re ever served except with fish and chips.

      1. When I think about it, my British grandmother cooked all vegetables so thoroughly that it would likely only have taken a quick stir with a fork to turn them to mush 🙂
