I was mucking about, trying to achieve the effect of a set of gaudily coloured 1960s postcards, suitable as a souvenir of a day at the seaside. I sort of got there.

Postcards are a favorite of mine, too. The Instagram of our youth. Love the beachscapes. Definitely stirred some memories. Enjoy the final days of summer. Peace.

This post is perfectly timed! I got back from a flying visit to Brid last week where I was in awe of the beaches, the scenery, the people….. We didn’t make it to Filey this time around but the beach at Bridlingotn itself would have been a playground for you to create doggy postcard shots. And Thornwick Bay even more so. Such a lovely part of the country and I had no idea!

Love these pictures…they remind me of a trip we took to Oregon. I especially love the last picture, and the reflections of the gulls.

Those eroded-looking cliffs are stunning as are the expanses of wet sand. The photos are evocative of wonderful walks along flat sandy beaches.
