Top tourist tip. Visit Sitges, as we just have, on a bright day in January. You’ll have the place almost to yourself.
We last visited a few years ago, when Emily took us to see the Corpus Christi Flower Festival in June. We could barely move for other people doing exactly the same thing.
Today was different. We mooched round enjoying the narrow streets of the old town, the Modernista buildings, and the wide sunny beach. I even paddled. Malcolm didn’t.
A tasty tapas lunch was in a quiet bar in a quiet park. It was the perfect antidote to busy Barcelona, a mere half hour train journey away.
From Pyrenees to Pennines 
I always enjoy a little outing, this place looks just the ticket.

sounds and looks divine! I’m a tad jealous…. because we did want to go for a weekend to Lisbon (not Spain) and couldn’t find reasonable prices. Hope you enjoy every moment!

It was warm enough to go in the water? Wow! So, why was it deserted? Just because people don’t go to the sea at winter? It looks wonderful!

It wasn’t deserted Kerry. Just pleasantly unbusy. And it was a working day after all. And the Spanish are used to days like this. Lucky them.

Oh you have brought back some memories! I was 12 and we drive through France, over the Pyrenees and found a hotel in Sitges for 2 weeks. I ate the biggest strawberries I have ever eaten!
